That was my first journey on Amtrak

By Augustine Philip

That was my first journey on AMTRAK and It was a blast.

That was in the summer of 2000, I planned for a trip to Tucson, Arizona That was about 2000 miles from J-town. I dint want to take the usual time killing air travel or butt numbing and tiring car trips.

I finally decide to ride the Sunset limited (AMTRAK 1) and literally I got addicted to it. It was one of the greatest trips. Now I just think of excuses to go on that trip again and again. It was a journey for 54 hours, $154 with advance purchase coach ticket.

I met many smart people on the journey and the crew was a real treat. Finally when the train pulled in Tucson I surely dint want to go but I had no other option.

I just long to have such ride again. Truly it's a memorable experience.
