Getting Visa from Mexico or Canada

By Ajay Udhgir

From my friends and my experiences, I have learnt that for most of the non- immigrants this seems to be a challenge.

At the end of the current visa expiration, it becomes necessary to get a visa (especially with multiple entry) to go to home country and come back. It is true that you could always get the visa from

home country. Sometimes there is lack of time and sometime we want to avoid the possibility of not getting it.

Many of the consulates at the US borders have been safe havens for the non-immigrants in the US. Each of them have different difficulty levels and they seem to change from time to time.

Canada is another alternative that turned out to be little safer in obtaining a visa extension. Except for the people living closer to the Canadian border, this is a long process, as you have to travel long ways to reach the US Consulate in Canada. It has proven to be worth the efforts if Visa is required.
