George Washington,
the first president of the USA, graces the front of the quarter.
It is perhaps the most useful of all the coins, because many coin-operated
machines, such as washers and some candy machines, will only accept
quarters.

Although they
are still around, the half dollar and dollar coins are relatively
rare. Most machines won't accept them, with the exception of some
post office vending machines. Issued in 1964, the Kennedy half
dollar displays a picture of John F. Kennedy, the thirty-fifth
president of the USA. It's worth fifty cents.
