Transit via Singapore

Visit to Singapore is unique and thrilling in its own way. It starts from the moment you land at Changi Airport. It is one of the most beautiful airport with all the facilities you would expect in any airport. You could easily move inside the Airport with the clear directions shown from the arrival gate. If you are in Transit or on a holiday, you could follow the directions clearly.

If you are in Transit, you could stay inside the Airport Day rooms or take a shower in the shower rooms and head out into the city. Advance reservation for Day rooms has proved more helpful to me over my several trips to Singapore. All these facilities are available within the airport and the directions are clear.

Going straight into the city is another nice idea. You may require a Transit visa to leave the Airport and have to go through Immigration. Citizens of several countries do not require a visa to enter Singapore. Based on the Nationality, you may have a few formalities if you require visa and it generally takes only a few minutes.

If you require a visa, transit visa is issued up to 3 days. This allows you stay in Singapore for up to 3 days. From the immigration you head to Baggage if you are checking out any. If you are in transit, your baggage is probably heading to the destination. Customs are strict only if you are carrying any illegal substances.
