years to obtain Housing and Development Board (HDB) housing at
commercial rates.
Permanent
workers, employment pass holders and skilled work permit holders
who have worked in Singapore for less than 2 years qualify for
this scheme.

The flats
available under SHiFT include
3-room (i.e. 2 bedrooms),
4-room (3 bedrooms), ]
5-room (3 bedrooms) and
Executive flats (i.e. larger flats with 3 bedrooms).
Allocation
Period
It ranges between 6 months to a year if the first flat offered
by JTC is accepted. In case the first one is rejected a second
one is offered, but after that no flats are offered if the second
one is also rejected.
